War of the Rings Gold! - CaliGirl Sat Oct 25
Expect to see Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring on shelves November 4th! Vivendi announced that development is complete for their PC strategy game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Massive battles erupt as the Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits of Middle-earth battle Sauron's minions. Choose to play as the forces of good and valiantly fight for the One Ring's destruction or assume command of the forces of evil to claim control over Middle-earth forever. Discover the time before the Fellowship of the Ring.

The story follows the expansion of Sauron's evil in the Third Age. You can lead armies of Orcs, Trolls, and Haradrim to spread the power of Sauron across the face of Middle-earth. Singleplayer and multiplayer is included. Be sure to check out the music at the official site, there are four different songs listed, which all happen to be in-game music.

This is a game I definitely need to check into for the love of strategy and LotR. However, I am mainly hoping there will be some awesome gameplay rather than the whole beauty aspect in-game. Not many developers are as awesome as Bioware, Blizzard, Ensemble Studios or Westwood (R.I.P. - Electronic Arts) where they make things look more pretty and of course many of their games have some great gameplay. So to be quite honest I wont be expecting much from War of the Ring so it may surprise me! [Vote]
