Happy Thanksgiving! -
Thursday 11/27/2003 by CaliGirl
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. Here are
some things to be thankful for:
Internet: We couldn't have met so many awesome people across
the world, or keep in touch with long distance friends without it!
Jobs: It seems many have lost or gained a job in the past
year... some a few times over. How could we not be grateful for temp,
consulting, contracting or permanent jobs.
Friends & Family: As much as many of us hate or love it,
they are always there around Thanksgiving in person or a phone call
away. Be reminded that there's always nice to have people care about
you.
Food: Many people around the world may be starving while we
feast our heart out on our favorite pie or mashed potatoes, please
keep the needy in prayer.
Games: What is time off from work if we can't play our favorite
games every night until we drop at 10am in the morning! If you can, be
sure to thank your developer for the time they put even during the
holidays to release our favorite games.

The Thanksgiving holiday in the USA means it's time once
again to get together with the whole family for a day-long discussion of
your life before turkey dinner is served. You could arrive late but that
would disappoint your mom. Plan B is to hold 'em all at bay with your
dazzling knowledge of gaming from a thinking women's perspective. Study
the short course below and don't forget to save room for the pecan pie
after dinner.
- Gaming
into Adulthood GameCritic.com published an intelligent article
that looks at videogames from the perspective of the older
generation. The older generation in this case ranges from 23 to 30.
"It's not often that an entirely new form of media is created
and assimilated into a culture, so those who cut their teeth on
Atari and have remained with the hobby until the present day are a
vanguard of sorts." Check out GameCritic's discussion forum,
too. Definitely some contributors there who are smarter than the
average bear. Registration required.
- Gamers
Prefer Singleplayer: Study GameSpot looked at a survey of
console gamers that revealed a mixed bag of preferences. They talked
to the survey's lead reseacher Billy Pidgeon (Zelos Group) about the
details of the study including results such as only 4 people out of
1000 interviewed had interest in buying Nokia's N-Gage despite the
company's promotion blitz, and that most gamers prefer to play the
singleplayer version of any game even if there is a multiplayer,
online option.

games it finds too violent and inappropriate for children. The list

Advance Kinda like Gameboy Advance except it's Game+Girl=Advance.

game platform. GGA is packed with astute and astonishing articles
