New Rainbow Six Announced

Yet again, another Tom Clancy franchise has been
announced. Ubisoft has plans to launch the next installment in the Tom
Clancy’s Rainbow Six franchise for the PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox in
Spring 2005. The next Rainbow Six game follows Team Rainbow, the
world’s most elite counter-terrorist unit, as they are called into
action into unfamiliar territory as they battle a BIOTERRORIST threat.
Stakes escalate as they are personally targeted by an evil terrorist
organization, ultimately ending with the capture and torture of one of
the team’s premier members. Used to protecting the lives of others,
Team Rainbow must now embark on a mission to fight and save its own.
Team Rainbow does not negotiate with terror. It destroys it.

Slitherine has announced
Legion II -
Civilization & Empire, a new 4X strategy game (eXplore, eXpand,
eXploit & eXterminate). Initial design work on Legion II began early
in 2004, as the game should be released in 2005. Legion II is set in
the ancient Mediterranean world and players can choose to take control
of any of the major civilizations at the time including the Romans,
Carthaginians, Gauls and many more. Choose to challenge scenarios with
established civilizations, or build their civilization up from nothing
on a clean, randomly generated map.

demo
(49 MB) of Alexander, which is inspired by the motion picture. The
demo offers two singleplayer missions titled Taming Macedonia and
Construction of Alexandria, along with three skirmish / multiplayer
maps. In Alexander, blood will be spilt on the battlefield and honor
will be put to the test, as the courage and cunning of your decisions

NovaLogic has announced that Joint Ops: Escalation, an
expansion for
Joint Ops: Typhoon Rising has gone gold. The game is expected in
stores on November 17th. In Escalation, conflict in Indonesia has
spilled over to other parts of Asia where rebel troops have gained
