Valve Software has released the demo (751 MB) of Half-Life 2. The demo features digital actors and physical gameplay that has made Half-Life 2 the leading contender for Game of the Year 2004. It includes the early levels of the game and later transports them to the area of the game known as Ravenholm. It requires a Steam account to install.

Paradox Interactive announced that Hearts of Iron 2 has gone gold. to be in stores around January 4 in North America and available on all markets by mid-February. Other countries include: Scandinavia, Russia, France, UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, Poland, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Mexico. ApeZone has released a new version of Battleship Chess, a naval strategy game where you command a fleet of ships on a virtual board and must strategically move your ships to keep the enemy in sight and in range of your guns. The new version adds new strategic elements by allowing you to fire multiple ships per round. This new change allows you to create and move fleets of ships around for added efficiency. The boards are randomly generated, meaning you will probably never see the same map twice. Version 2.0 also adds permanent ship upgrades along with the temporary upgrades that are also randomly placed around the map.
