ETF will be a port of the very popular mod for Quake 3 Arena called Q3F. It is based off the Team Fortress concept. ETF is powered by the Enemy Territory game by Splashdamage. 10 classes to choose from is only the start of what this game has to offer. Every class is unique in its own right from the Recon's speed to the Minigunners Powerful minigun which is not so "mini". Several game types like CTF, Reverse CTF, Capture & Hold and Assault will be included in some of the hottest maps you have ever seen in a fortress game. Got Game recently announced that Alida has gone gold. This first person 3D adventure PC game ships the first week in August. Alida is an abandoned island theme park ten miles out at sea. Sounds like its party time peeps! According to Planetdoom, id Software has announced that Doom 3 has gone gold! Here's a blurb from the site:

After 4 years of waiting, it has finally happened. Todd Hollenshead has updated his .plan file with the announcement that DOOM 3 is gold. That's right, it's on it's way to be copied and the next stop is a shop near you. The .plan file states that "Retailers in the States will be allowed to pick up games starting at 12:01 AM on August 3rd. The official street date is actually August 5th in the U.S.A., but some of your favorite stores will probably have it early for those of you who have to have it first."

This month gave me a run for the Olympics on our LadyGamers Forecast for July, so it was released about a week late. Better late than never. There doesn't seem to be as many game releases this time. Wonder if all of you developers are taking vacations huh? There are two game industry folks celebrating their birthdays this month; Todd Hollenshead and Aaron Cohen. Hope you guys have a great one... miss ya! As for comics there's many different ones I would love to buy. Figurines seems to be high in the Hellboy, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings releases. There's a handful of neat swag and other gadgets like game pad controllers. If you feel you seem to be out of it, not knowing what's coming soon, this is a MUST read peeps!
