In the game, you control the star-studded mayhem. There's a long list of celebrities you can play as including Anna Nicole Smith, Mr. T, Justin Timberlake, Carrot Top, Cindy Margolis and Busta Rhymes. And some famous monsters are thrown in as hidden characters, too. The game will feature multiple arenas and at least several modes of play including Deathmatch, create-a-celebrity, and Episode mode where you play through a number of episodes of the show, playing three matches in each.
How much fun is MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch game gonna be? Celebrities will have their own specific verbal taunts and special moves, and some of those are hilarious: Anna Nicole Smith can shoot a stream of breast milk, Mr. T can crush opponents with the A-Team van, and Carrot Top can swat your crotch with a giant carrot. Universal moves include basic blocks, kicks, punches and kicks, along with stabbing and bludgeoning with sharp objects. It's violent, sure, but in a cartoonish way. The clay-like animation shows blood and gore but nothing that's going to send government lawmakers into a frenzy against violence in video games. Ok, but what about the fun factor, you're asking. Well, any game that offers me a chance to kick the shit out of Justin Timberlake rates in my book. The controls are straight forward and there aren't too many rules, so just about anyone can sit right down and start playing. I'd say if decapitating Carrot Tops fuzzy red head makes your breasts squirt with excitment then MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch game is for you. Watch for it this October.
