[LadyGamers]: You started your site much like how I did with
a type of fansite dedicated to certain games. Your main focus at this time
is RtCW with a hint of Quake 2 files. The fact that Quake 4's storyline
will be taken from Quake 2, would you cover or create a related site if
you end up falling for it?
[WildStar]: It's a good possibility,
however; it will have to impress me more than Quake 3 did. My original
site was dedicated to Quake 2. At the time my, boyfriend and I were
running a Quake 2 Weapons of Destruction Server. I hosted the maps and
some of my favorite models and skins, some of which are still found on my
site today. Quake 2 was the first net game that really caught my attention
so I am hoping Quake 4 will follow in it's footsteps and keep close to the
theme of my first love.
[LadyGamers]: What caused you to go from Quake 2, then skip
Quake III Arena only to give RtCW a second glance? Have you ever tried
Quake 3? Was it because you beta tested Return to Castle Wolfenstein?
[WildStar]: I never really left Quake 2. I
tried Quake 3, only to find it was more of a throw back to the original
Quake theme. The game engine was a big improvement over Q2, but there was
quite a bit of overkill on the goth theme of the game. Return to Castle
Wolfenstein came along with a decent team play theme and both, my
boyfriend and I tried it. It is alot of fun and a great way to game with
him. I did not beta test RtCW, but I played the demo from the very
beginning.
[LadyGamers]: You're a fan of Fantasy art. Can you name a few
artists that you are so fond of they simply bring a tear to your eye?
[WildStar]: My absolute favorite artists
are Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. I have quite a bit of their work
displayed on my site. I have always been a fan of fantasy art and it just
seems to fit the theme of my site. It's nice to combine what I enjoy.
[LadyGamers]: Would you say there are a lot of female gamers
who play Return to Castle Wolfenstein or Enemy Territory? If so, name a
handful you know of.
[WildStar]: In my opinion, there are more
and more females playing all the time, especially since ET has come onto
the scene. A few female gamers I know of that play RtCW/ET include Jube,
LtDarkstar and Wyldchyld. There is also at least one RtCW female gaming
clan and I do happen to know that you (CaliGirl) also have been bitten by
the ET bug.
[LadyGamers]: There's a site called Bad Ass Babes that talks a lot
about your site. What is your affiliation with it? I do know it's not a
clan site but a site dedicated to female gamers.
[WildStar]: My best friend, Vicky aka HellKitten,
owns the site. She is also a lady gamer and is actually the one
responsible for getting me hooked on Quake 2. I, very skeptically, decided
to give it a try. Who knew!
