eekabeep Interview
_____________________________________________________________INTERVIEW
[eekabeep]: With all the competition and the community growing so much, there are so many more haters in the industry. Though on the bright side there are more people supporting the gaming industry like the GGL, ATI, xTz, and Speakeasy. _________________________________ [LadyGamers]: You are apart of FragDolls, which has been sponsored by Ubisoft since the middle of this year. What I have heard is Rhoulette is partly responsible for creation of the team. Did you have a history of knowing any of your teammates before you became a Frag Doll? Or was it a drop of ingredients in the bowl to see if you all flavor well together? [eekabeep]: When I was hired to play with the Frag Dolls I didn't know any of them and signed on without even meeting anyone in person. I basically put a gaming resume together and they saw I was the real deal. I'm pretty sure that's what happened with my teammates. :) So yeah, they put out an ad on craigslist.com which circulated to several other sites and women around the nation applied. _________________________________
[eekabeep]: Other than the blog content that we do, Ubisoft is responsible for that cool look of the website and our illustrations. _________________________________
[eekabeep]: I continue to do their Public Relations. I am so busy. _________________________________ [LadyGamers]: To dig a little more into your background, you have other talents such as; programming, voice acting, art and more! Please describe what you have done into the past since we all know you have some mad gameskillz!
Gaming isn't all that I've known though, I've pretty much gotten myself into most fields of work and play - moved around a zillion times because of the gaming industry and my dad being in the Air Force. I pretty much know most cities and a lot of people! :) I moved out of my parents' when I was 16, and didn't have anything but a p133. No phone or anything. I started learning perl and created my own little "Dr Sbaitso" so to speak that would keep me entertained. I know.. so lame. haha. So that's how I know Perl basically. I love it!
I've also done a lot of testing at the studios of 989/Sony, Rockstar/Angel Studios, Disney Interactive, and the Behemoth (other than the random open beta testing that I've volunteered for). _________________________________ [LadyGamers]: I can't help but compliment you on your unique style of clothing and accessories! At Quakecon this year I noticed how cute you always dressed. If there wasn't a cute hat, there was a flower or a pretty way you pulled your hair back. If there are any eeka followers of your genuine style (who would have thought eekadesigns!), what type of advice would you give them?
[eekabeep]:
Man... my hair flower broke. :\ But I loved that thing even

[eekabeep]: I'll probably be making lots of cookies and such to send to people. As far as a wishlist goes, I just love spending time with the people who are close to me! :) _____________________________________________________MORE ABOUT EEKA Tournament Competition: Black Arrow - PAX 2004, Everlan Splinter Cell: PT 2004 Event Attendance: Comic Con 2003, E3 2004, EverLAN 2004, QuakeCon 2004, WCG 2004, The Penny Arcade Convention Related Sites: Radioitg.com | FragDolls.com |
