[CaliGirl]: Lady Quake Marines has turned 6 years old this month. Are there any fond memories you can tell us about that come to mind about the clan? [Jezebel]: Fond Memories of many things come to mind when I think of my times with LQMS. Lady Quake Marines was actually the brain child of the leader of the QuakeMarines, QMS>Kuhas. He urged me to start up the clan. The guys did a lot of the leg work finding and putting together some of the females they had met while playing. We started and primarily played on the Questgate servers on the East coast during the early years. The fondest memories I have though are of just messing around fragging together with my clanmates every Sunday morning. We always were pretty international with players, so weekends were really the only times we could all get together. In later years IRC took over and we spent a lot of fun times chatting on Enterthegame IRC network. Through thick and thin we always stood by each other and were sisters.
[CaliGirl]: LQMS and PMS were the first Quake female clans on the net. What was it like to have so much hype going on in the Quake Community for a clan like yours?
[Jezebel]: It was a lot of fun and there were trials and
tribulations too. We always tried to keep the LQMS image clean of to many
sexual innuendo's and I think that helped bridge the gap for us. The
female quake community was strong then and having good friends and allies
like the QGirlz helped a lot.
[CaliGirl]: Who are the people in the Quake community you miss most? [Jezebel]: This could be a very long list. I miss all my clan sisters, the guys from QMS (still keep touch with a few), the crew from Questgate who ran the servers, the ladies and gents from Xtreme Prejudice, many many friends from IRC as well. [CaliGirl]: When you and I first met, we were on a kitty1 server playing Quake 1. I checked out LQMS homepage and was amazed at your web design in that day. Do you still create websites? [Jezebel]: Have not designed a web site in a very long time. The most art work I do now are for signatures for message boards. [CaliGirl]: If there is anything else you would like to say? [Jezebel]: LQMS was a wonderful time where I made a great deal of friends virtually and in real life. I will always remember the times I spent learning and laughing with the net citizens I met while wearing the LQMS tag. We always said, "LQMS was a clan for fun". I believe we achieved that goal. GG girls! :) Related Link:
