Wesley 'Ref1ux' Kranenburg started playing racing games with Super Nintendo. His first multiplayer game was Jediknight back in 1999, using a dialup with a 500 ping when connecting to the Zone. The next game he fell for very hard was Golden Eye on Nintendo 64.   

In 2000, Reflux brought Half-life into his life to check out Team Fortress Classic in all of its glory. By 2001 he felt Unreal Tournament was amazing for about 6 months until someone convinced him that Quake III Arena was the in thing to play! By this time he started playing Rocket Arena 3 and a little Capture the Flag as he joined a clan called SyKoTiC. Once he joined the clan it was a whole other world, he kept playing for Quake 3 retail along with some public CTF.

Ref1ux states:

"The thing that I really enjoyed about the game was the pace at which it was played. 

Boyfriends was formed at a LAN as a side fun clan. There was a CTF competition running at OQCLan in October 1, 2002, so the other half of the FemmeBots decided to get together and make a team.

Ref1ux states:

"We actually did fairly well loosing all games minus 1.
I think it was because we were running around with pummy most of the time :). "

After effort and having so much fun, Reflux got some of the guys together for OQCL season 5. Because both fB and fBB could only muster up 4 players (5 v 5 CTF in Australia) they joined the two teams together and hence Femmebots + Boyfriends was formed. The clan has continued onto the normal season and are now halfway though the second season now.
