[Jube]: As the leader of gLu, would you say that the fact that one of your clanmates shot you in the head is a reflection of your leadership qualities? Do you still trust CDTrips around weapons?

[JestaPhreak]: The event to which you are referring was a non-clan sanctioned event, therefore I would have to attribute, what I hope was poor marksmanship, to something else. We never really had a leader of gLu nor the previous incarnations of our clan. I was the first from our first clan '[3OD]'to start playing Quake so the best I could hope for would be founder. I deffinatley never displayed a leadership skill, people skillz maybe, but not leadership.

As far as the second Question I find myself leaning more and more to the idea of safer gun control laws, at least where they pertain to CDTrips controlling one.

[Jube]: I've heard some interesting tales about gLu. Fun with mashed potatoes, cross-dressing, six-toed clan members and other assorted oddities. No wonder all of your female members left you! Why do you think Lady*V* continues to put up with you all?

[JestaPhreak]: Brushing aside all the possible rude jokes I could make here I find that I actually have to think about this question. Hate to boil it down to a cliche, as I detest cliches in general, but near as I can tell, Birds of a feather Clan up together. It could be motherly instincts imagine how messy a server would get if She werent around to tell the 20 of us it was high time we cleaned up all the gibs and fraggy mess. To reesort to yet another damned cliche, "behind every grou of childish men there was one really cool ass railing chick."

[Jube]: I hear you've got a gLu LAN coming up in March. Should the good citizens of Indiana be forewarned of said event, and do you anticipate any serious injuries?

[JestaPhreak]: We have had local LAN parties before but this one will be the first one that was actually planned prior to 2 days before the event. I am proud to announce that in all of the previous events we never had any serious injury. Not serious. Nothing with paramedics or cops or firemen. Er, um, there were firemen, but it is because the hall we used to rent was attached to a firehouse. It should be an entertaining event for the entire fanily - Including the family dog. Don't forget to bring the dog.

[Jube]: Godz Like Us... Do you ever get jabbed for the name? Don't you think it's a bit erm, over the top? In my experience, people often don't take well to the word "God" used in clan names and gaming handles.

[JestaPhreak]: We struggled along time to find a name for the clan, which had recently taken on new members. We did that OBKQ bit for a minute but we weren't really happy with it. It was to long and we really wanted to use a three letter acronym that was a word.

About that time, CDTrips, Spooge (old school member), and I were writing a webpage making up funny band names. My Ex-girlfriend suggested 'Gods Like Us' for that page and I ran it past the gang. We chose it more for the word glu with a stick together kinda of feel. I prefer to use the deffinition that Godz like us as people. If they were ever so inclined to come down and to hang out they would hang out with us. Others like to define it as 'everyone should strive to be Godz, like us'.

One should take into account that one member of our clan is some what devoutley religious and the name does not seem to upset him. It's like my old Grand Pappy used to say, "What's good enough for Mung, Should be good enough for you."

[Jube]: Looking at your website... "Godz Like Us we never die, We'll pop a rail right in your eye. We hope it doesn't give you gas, when we roll up and rail your ass." If Force Clan was still around, I'm convinced gLu would be getting one of their famous Dork Awards. No offense of course. ;) Who designed the site, and is it intended to be a serious effort or just more gLu wackiness?

[JestaPhreak]: Ahhh, yess a line from the gLu clan Creedo. Yeah that is a bit of sillyness I myself created, with a little help from Z<-gLu->. It was never intended to be some ultracool serious Machismo bit of self indulgent literature. Just something funny I cooked up one day when I was bored. I thought I would create a poem with a line for each gLu member. Some of the lines are pretty funny and are somewhat descriptive of each members peculiarities. The lines for ex-gLu folk Have been removed from the main poem but still exist where our ex-clannies are listed on the members page.

[Jube]: Are you in the habit of wearing dresses?

[JestaPhreak]: What do you mean by Habit? I mean I wouldn't consider getting all spruced up in pink taffetta and Chiffon for hot date on saturday night a habit necessarily. It's more of a life choice. Some times a man needs the feel of a silken slip or the delicate closeness of a summer frock upon his skin to make him feel like a man. Is that so wrong? Well Is it? Is It SOOOO wrong? Well If it's wrong, sister, I don't want to be right. Umm, but seriousley, NO! NO! Seriously! And don't go believing what other <-gLu-> Clan members may have said about me. I am not ashamed to stand up for my right to wear a dress nor to fight for my right to henceforth be refferred to as Loretta (Monty Python Reference/rip-off).

[Jube]: Whom would you consider to be gLu's top fragger?

[JestaPhreak]: That's a tough call to make on a close race. Snubnose, Aftabirth and Z, can really rack up some carnage. I have been known to get right up there with them on occasion but I die alot more than they do so I count them as more efficient players. One of our newest members Dex seems like he might be a challenger for the high frag award recently prooving his worth in the first ever gLu Clan League Tournament. Lady*V* can wrack up the kills as well even as a defense player she has been known to grab top score quite a bit. Now that I think about it there is also SolidSnake and Ball tongue who both put impressive numbers and CDtrips and Muerte, Strabo and NightWolf and... Oh hell any one of us on any given day can put up numbers that are pretty damn impressive.

[Jube]: After the Q3 love dies, do you plan to move gLu to the next big gaming addiction? Any games you're currently looking forward to the release of?

[JestaPhreak]: Don't ever say that Ya HEATHEN!!!! There are no games but Quake!! there are no games but Quake!! La La La La La!!! (Hands Covering Ears) I am Not Listening To You!! I am Not Listening To You!!

Ummm, Far be it for me to predict the future, I mean I am not Mrs Cleo or anything (cawl Mi Nah far yar free readin!) - Or am I ? Ofcourse I am looking forward to the release of Quake IV, I have Hopes they might return to the Maze maps and Hidden passage ways, What am I talking about I never even played Q3 at all but for maybe a couple of rounds. If Q4 is like Q1 or Q2 I might play it through. I am also Interested in the release of Doom 3. I never played any of the previous incarnations of the game but since Doom Is Quake 3's Great Great Grandmother I wouldn't mind getting aquainted with an extended family member some what removed.

[Jube]: For all the gals out there turned on by bullet holes... what's your marital / dating status?

[JestaPhreak]: I am in a semi new relationship as of October 2002. Dating one of the coolest woman any Gamer could hope to meet. Some of the clan mates found it cool that she said the words that every gamer longs to hear from there significant. I told them how she tell's me, "OK, Baby. I am Gonna hang up now so you can get your quake on." Of Course my clanmates accused me of dating a man but I assured them that wasn't the case. I don't precipitate in their lifestyles.

[Jube]: If you were stranded on a deserted island with three other gLu members, which ones would you choose to have there with you?

[JestaPhreak]: Well, of course, first off I would Choose Lady*V* purely for protective reasons. This woman has Guns, and she is sure to be safer to be around then say, maybe, CDTrips. And what's more, she knows how to treat a female impersonator (Monty Python Reference/rip-off). Then there is always that off chance that she might submit herself to my feeble advances. I admire a woman who will subject herself to pity sex, especially when it is with me.

In that event I think I would need Afta or Muerte there to film the proceedings for they are very wise in the ways of Pron.

I would most likely have to have X'ile or Dex there to coach me on technique. I am gettin older and there are prolly a few horizontal tricks I may have forgotten. They will also be responsible for handing us the gatorade so we dont get dehydrated.

I guess Mung, DarkHorse, and Snubnose could fight over which one of them gets to stand around and wave one of those big frond leaf fans to cool us off during the festivities.

The video will be very tastefully done and I am sure it will be entertainment for the whole Famn Damily - including the family dog. Let us not forget the family dog.
