[Jube]: Tell us the story of how you first got involved in gaming.

[Lady*V*]: Well I had twins and was a stay at home mom. When they started sleeping regularily, I decided to try out Mplayer...Next thing I know I'm landed smack dab in the middle of a full server without a clue what to do. I even remember the map..The House of Chthon....the pine spammers paradise. It was so much fun though, I just kept going back. I was hooked.

[Jube]: From everything snubNOSE has told me about gLu, I have to give you some major kudos for sticking in there. ;) Are you all as crazy as I'm lead to believe or is snub just spreading vicious rumours?

[Lady*V*]: We are the clan next door.......to the brothel. Yes we are all certifiable. Except for Jesta shhhhhhh he thinks he's normal. No one will tell him the truth, the last time we tried there was mention of monkeys and the shaving of 'fuzzy buddies'.

[Jube]: I heard you used to run a Quake II clan (unless that was just another one of snub's lies ;). What was the clan's name and what game types or mods did you play?

[Lady*V*]: It was a q1 Clan. I was fortunate to be part of one the oldest q1 clans 'CROW' founded by a gentlemen named Lostsoul1. Who helped me learn. If it wasn't for him telling me I could get better, I never would have continued. After some time with the clan he passed its leadership to me. Back in those days netquake was a new thing. Not many mods per say. We did alot of team DM, DM3 mostly. I adored Qball too. Fun mod, where holding the quad got your team points. We also played a little Team Fortress.

[Jube]: Which version of Quake is your favourite (Q1, Q2, Q3), and are there any upcoming games you're really looking forward to the release of?

[Lady*V*]: I love Q3 now, but I'd have to say Q1..visualy its not as near as sweet as Q3, but there's something about gothic architecture, a wicked rocket launcher and zombies that fling their body grunge at you that can't be beat. I am looking forward to the latest Doom though, from what Ive seen so far visualy, it looks dark, creepy, intense and challenging.

[Jube]: Out of all the Q3 clans out there, what prompted you to hook up with gLu?

[Lady*V*]: Besides the body shaving, monkeys and bare chested viking hugs?......They are older, fun and no matter how bad it gets in the game they always seem to joke and play their best. It was thier attitude and friendship. They made me feel like family and they never let me down)

[Jube]: What's your current opinion of female-only clans? Have you ever participated in any female-only gaming events (ladders / tournaments)?

[Lady*V*]: I think all female clans are a great idea..must be alot of fun..cept for those 'I have to rant' meetings every 28 days. I have never participated in female only events. I would like to. Being in a clan where I am the only female, I tend to not notice the female oriented tournaments. Truth is, Im a big tomboy. I like the challenge of fighting the guys.. NOT that females arn't good...the 2 best players I know are ladies)..just the guys seem to be more irritated when a lady kills em...call me a sadist.

[Jube]: On the gLu site I noticed a picture of you aiming a rifle. What's up with you and guns? :)

[Lady*V*]: Ruh roh.........heheh. Well my dad started my interest young. We lived in the boonies and I was target practicing with a bb rifle at 4 yrs old. By the time I was of the legal age to hunt, me and dad would go together for rabbit and pheasant. If it fired I wanted to learn to aim it well...I enjoy the intensity and the challenge. No weapons are stored in my home.

[Jube]: For all the guys out there digging gun-toting babes, what's your marital / dating status?

[Lady*V*]: Living with.

[Jube]: What do your friends and family think about your often time consuming gaming hobby?

[Lady*V*]: Thats a good question. One that not many gamers would like to answer truthfully. Lets face it, if you want to get better you have to practice. Fortunatley for me my sons goto school 9-4. Between housework, errands and dinner I can usually get in 3 hrs there somewhere. My other half , he once said 'at least its something you really like and it won't require rehab' ...little does he know. Those oocasional 3am games don't go over too well though. As for my friends....well, last tournament match they came over to watch, quietly sitting behind me yelling "Booya!!' every now and then:-)

[Jube]: If you were stranded on a deserted island with three other gLu members (God forbid ;), which three would you hope to have by your side there?

[Lady*V*]: Wow! thats a hard question! If I answer incorrectly, Im afraid they will call the monkeys and that guy with the braun. I'm skerd....... But I'd have to say JestaFreak, Z and Aftabirth.
