[LadyGamers]:  You have some roots in video games with Mario Brothers, Final Fantasy and of course Commander Keen sticking out like a soar thumb. Can tell us a little about your background on how you first started playing multiplayer games?

[Amerz]:  Well, funny story, actually. I think when I got my first loving of a multiplayer game was when I was pretty young. My brother and I had gotten chicken pox at relatively the same time, and my parents decided to buy us a original NES, along with Mario Bros 3, to keep us from dying of boredom. We played that thing on two player like crazy. Every now and then, when I'm feeling spicey, I hook up the old system, and go back to the good ol' days.

[LadyGamers]:   Since you're a Quake fan, I bet you'll be the first person in line to get Quake 4 once it's on the shelves. Is there anything that has made you excited about this upcoming title? Do you feel there needs to be something featured in it to keep you interested?

[Amerz]:  Well, being a Quake fan, just the birthing of a new piece of Quakey-goodness is good enough for me. While I can't really point out what kind of changes I'd like to see, personally, I'll be very interested to see what they creators come up with.

[LadyGamers]:  Being the Director of Art for Ms. Quakecon.org, what other responsibilities will you have once the event starts?

[Amerz]:  Uh, well, little to none, actually. Spots that were needed for things such as reffing and administrating the tourney were filled by others, which is quite alright with me, as I'm sure I'll be working hard at QuakeCon as a volunteer. I may be around talking it up with people from time to time, as I also designed this year's QuakeCon Network Staff t-shirts. So, feel free to come on over and chat a bit with me if I don't look too busy (just look for the badge with my devilish "A" icon).

[LadyGamers]:  Is there anyone you are looking forward to seeing this year?

[Amerz]:  Oh, heck yeah, the list is pretty long, and I plan to meet up with each person on my list at least once. Infact, one of them, who's coming from Arkansas, is rooming with me throughout the event.

[LadyGamers]:  One feature article that stood out last year online was the Thong Kid video taken by IXero clan. Does this craziness normally happen at Quakecon?

[Amerz]:  Ah, you must be referring to the infamous QuakeThong incident. Well, we're all a crazy bunch here at QuakeCon, looking for a good time.
I imagine I miss out on a lot of the craziness, though, since I'm only 16. As far as my knowledge goes, nothing quite like QuakeThong has happened the two previous years I've gone to QuakeCon (thank god).
