[LadyGamers]:  You were noticed by people setting up Quakecon one year from being the first person in line. They seemed to like you so much that you became the line lady aka Nerd herder that year. I bet your first job is to get the girls in line! They won't make you do that this any time in the future, will they?

[Byskwik]:  Actually I'll proudly be reclaiming my title of nerd herder again this year when my other duties allow. It's something I'm good at (aka shouting and generally making a nuisance of myself.) and it makes things go a bit smoother up at the registration desks. It's also a great way to get to know a lot more people who attend (though this year I think I'll put pens on bungie cords, that way I'll definitely get them back).

[LadyGamers]:  The biggest nitpick many of the whiney gamers had about this specific tournament was the rules were too much.  Is it a wonder why women in general are considered we are too serious but when we let go to have fun, some guys get appalled to the idea? In all seriousness, since this isn't an official tournament, is this the reason why the Ms Qcon team decided to make the rules all out of fun to read?

[Byskwik]:  Pretty much. We're a rather jovial group to start with. The rules just kinda became an extension of that. If you look at them in comparison to the official Quakecon 1v1 tournament you'll notice that the only ones we make jokingly were ones we didn't steal from it. We're not having fun at anyone's expense but our own, so why there's such a to-do about it still eludes me.

[LadyGamers]: When you first found out about a Ms. Quakecon beauty pageant was going on in a forum with random pictures of a few female gamers, guy's sisters/moms, boyfriend's girlfriends who didn't play games and even hotel employees, how did you react? Was it in a manner of... ok.. let me give it a day to calm down or did you reply promptly with your opinion. Was it a crazy reply or very calm and selective? Could you feel the blood rising to your brain?

[Byskwik]:  To be honest my first reaction was "where the hell are these
guys? I've seen no one." After that it was more like "who are these girls?"
and "Where are PD and foto?" At the time I wasn't really real big on the forums. Later on when it was brought up again I prolly took it a lil too seriously. My first post was this: "Miss Quakecon was a horrendous idea, completely unmonitored. I still think Nancy should have won. In the end the only real Miss Quakecon must be fragged for." And I stand by that to this day. If we're going to be paraded around, at least let us do it on our own terms.

[LadyGamers]:  Since this isn't an actual official Quakecon event, if it ends up being a success, do you feel Quakecon would make it official? Ms. Quakecon does carry the name.

[Byskwik]:  I don't think that id Software would make it official unless there's an all boys tourney to coincide it. Also it would have to get much bigger first. Perhaps if we can get the numbers up over the next couple of years it would be something to suggest. I think we're best off as a BYOC event, at least for now. It gives us a little more room to goof around and make things more about the companionship than the competition. Though, as it stands now, we don't even know if we can do this for next year, I'm just hoping for that first.

[LadyGamers]:  You're very excited to see your friends again this year at Quakecon. Is there any shout outs you'd like to say!

[Byskwik]:  Dear god, we may be here all night. Well for starters, I'd like to thank Geekwearz for sponsoring us, mad props to both the official Quakecon staff and Wirehead studios (who have aided Ms Quakecon tremendously). Then there's the forum whores who've also showed lots of support. Now, for personal shout outs, if I listed off all my friends that I'm looking forward to seeing I'd prolly take up a couple of pages, but I'll try to hit the big ones (in no particular order): Tapper, EJ (if he can make it) Nash, Andy, Team Molester (& hopefully Jess), Nuero (& hopefully the other jess), Team Drunk, PD, l4mby(obviously) Vix, beta, Amerz, Worm, Lee & Kenny, jon, Dunbar, Twilight, silence, Pappyr, foto, Zay, Conq & Annee, Mysh, Thraxy, Dirt & Sanford, Wino & Stiggy, Fraggy, Red, & Dicion. Also would like to give a shout out to all my peeps who can't make it: Charmed1, Nic & KateBabe, & my roommates Con & Gina.  For everyone who I forgot, much love, for anyone I purposely didn't mention, well, you know...
