[LadyGamers]:  First off, can you let us know a little about yourself? Have you been playing Quake III Arena for a while now?

[Dubird]:  I've been playing Q3A on and off for a couple years. I'm not near the level most of my friends are, but I can hold my own for a little while.

[LadyGamers]:  One of your favorite games is Super Metroid. Have you had a chance to try out Metroid Prime on GameCube yet?

[Dubird]:  I've tried out Metroid Prime when I can manage to. My roomate bought the game, and he's more into it then I am. Most of my time on the GameCube is spent trying to beat Eternal Darkness.

[LadyGamers]:  You live in Arkansas. How will you get to Quakecon this year? Are you going by yourself or with others? What type of transportation will you use to get to the event?

[Dubird]: My roomate and I are driving down. It's only about 4-5 hours from where we're at, and we've gone to Dallas together before a couple of years ago. This is my first Quakecon, since I wasn't able to go last year, but I know several people in the Dallas area, including some family who I plan to visit with as well, so I'm partially familiar with the area.

[LadyGamers]:  Is this your first competition that allows only female gamers to participate in it? Have you attended other tournaments or gaming events in the past?

[Dubird]: This is really my first competition ever. I've helped out with the Halo tournaments the new gaming center here in Conway has hosted, but I've never actually played in any competitive event before. I'm looking forward to it, even if I'm not very good, simply because from what I've seen and heard, it's a lot of fun for everyone.
