[LadyGamers]:  You are in three different game clans. Can you describe your roll in each clan? What games you play in each of them. What qualities each clan has to offer you as a gamer?

[Kata_Jade]:  Well I play in Tribes 2 for both Lock and Load (L&L) and Estrogen. Estrogen is 7 man and L&L is 14 man. I play mostly Heavy offense, heavy armor as offense, in Estrogen and just about all positions in L&L teams. I played for L&L the most, two years now, and I like the clan because they helped me learn the game since I was only playing Unreal Tournament at the time by myself, and gave me a solid foundation as a player in Tribes 2.

I joined Estrogen recently because I liked the idea of playing in a all female team. Estrogen is more of a way to remind myself that I'm not the only female player out there and that yes we can play just as good. :)

Girlz of Destruction (g0d) I joined for RA3 originally. We dropped out of that and now played straight Quake 3 for tournament and we hope to play UT2K3 soon as well. I like g0d because I was only playing Tribes 2 for the longest time, longer than I've ever stuck with any game. I wanted a clan to play with in another game. I picked g0d because I knew some of the players and I liked the idea of fragging with them.

[LadyGamers]:  You mentioned you were in Wansanity this year. Can you describe your experience at this event?  Have you ever competed in a live tournament? Will this be your first year at Quakecon?

[Kata_Jade]:  I loved playing in Wansanity in that it gave me my first experience with a tournament. I play in ladders for my other clans, but the way we played in Wansanity was a bit different in that our team captain had less time to pick a playing time it seemed and that the tournament was going with or without us. In the ladder you can postpone a game if you need to or even cancel and move on. This is not so in Wansanity.

Quakecon will be my first live event ever. :/ I hope I don't freeze up, I have horrible stage fright.

[LadyGamers]:  How will you be traveling to Quakecon this year? Are you coming along with some clan mates or gamer friends?

[Kata_Jade]:  I'll be driving to Texas with my boys in tow. I'll be dropping them off and then heading to the hotel. I won't be traveling with any of my clanmates, but I plan to meet some g0d members at the con itself.

[LadyGamers]:  In your own words, describe a true gamer.

[Kata_Jade]:  Hmm, I don't want to get in trouble here cause there isn't any one "true gamer" I don't think. It's more of a mind set for the person playing the games to be able to call themselves a gamer than just playing the said games. Just because you play PC and console games that doesn't mean you are a true gamer. You can be a gamer and not be playing games at the time. If I had to say something on this topic I believe that if you treat gaming more as a sport than a hobby, you have a life or no but still find time to practice games and even belong in a clan then you can say you are a gamer. Any of these elements are a good indication of true gamers anywhere.
