The Women of the Online Gaming League
By: Jube
Why the Women of OGL and not the Women of PG or the Women of CAL? Well, the
Online Gaming League has a long history
of female staff members, and the current compliment is more plentiful than ever!
In addition to always having a healthy number of women gamers on staff, the
Online Gaming League has always been very supportive of women gamers and has
even hosted several female-only ladders in the past. While it has been a long time now since
these game gals have graced the steps of the OGL, you may recall a time when
the OGL staff included Aurora (GameGirlz), Kitten (Kitten's Litter), QBitch (QBitch's Domain), Trillian (QGirlz), and even myself (known then as
Jordan). So now that we've determined that the Online Gaming League is most
certainly an equal opportunity employer, let's find out a bit about today's
Women of OGL!
- JH has been with the OGL for some time now
and has been an action gamer for even longer. As League Official for Quake I and Quake II, JH is responsible
for keeping things running smoothly in those areas. In her "off" time she enjoys giving her co-workers a hard
time by confusing them with plenty of bl33ting and h0nking!
- Precious Death is a busy
gal at the OGL, assisting confused gamers on the OGL Help Desk as well as administrating Quake III Arena
ladders. In addition to her OGL duties, PD takes great pleasure in harassing the men of the OGL!
- MsConduct has touched OGL
in uncountable places (hey now!), in addition to being a Quake III Arena ladder administrator, she can regularly
be found answering your pleas for help on the OGL Help Desk.
- jess is OGL's belle of IRC,
working on the Help Desk she's your helping hand and sympathetic ear when things go awry.
- GiBzGiRL is all about Quake II.
Her favourite games include Q2 WOD and Freeze Tag, which she also administrates for the OGL.
- NurseRatched was once considered
one of the top 56k Tribes players, and is seriously down with Medal of Honor these days. In addition
to being a MoH ladder administrator, she's also an avid player of the game.
- Zay is now an ex-staffer of the
OGL, but as the saying goes... she's gone but certainly not forgotten. Amongst many other duties, Zay
was pivotal in setting up and running the OGL's Battle on the Beachheads (RtCW) and Reaction Rumble
(RQ3) tournaments.
