Well, that was fun. Two
and a half hours solid of some little old lady telling me how
she spied for the Russians when she was younger. All because
the cow I work for couldn't be arsed to call a cab for the
grannie so she could leave the class early, rather than have
me sit with her till the bus came ot big the lot of them up.
Some times, just sometimes, I think euthanasia is a good idea.
"But mi`lord, I swear on my father's grave
she told me she wanted to die..."J
Anyways, those screenies
are up on
Stomped as my crystal ball told me they would be, and I`ve
gotta say that although the indoor screenie is rather poor,
the outside one is amazing. The vast look to the level, the
top notche textures, (tho I`ve recently had first hand account
of S3`s STC support in
UT and
Savage 2000 is suddenly looking
like a viable option =) ) and the models pose alone suggest
the next test is gonna be a far cry from the game we've got
our hands on now. Hopefully Sean
will be able to blag some more screenies sooner or later,
these came to go with his article from the play test so I'll
give him a kick and get him to beg for some more.

I got some feedback on
the UT
server code problems today, but neither
Hak nor myself were sure if
Brandon considered it as
appropriate for public consumption. (Read as, yes, they f*cked
up.) I`ve asked him to ask about it, but as
Hak's off playing the
UT
demo and I`ve not got a contact for
Epic I'm stuck till morning. But basically, if you've
ever felt that servers grow worse over time with
UT,
you're probably right. Either way, the problem is in hand, and
things should feel a lot better in the next release. Will get
back to you on this one.
Moving a little away
from gaming and towards clubland, I was pulled aside today by
the exceedingly dodgy Alek aka
Tempest about writing for his
new streaming mp3 project,
SubSpace. Cited as the return of the
Binary Terrorists it appears
the web based radio station is getting going again, this time
avoiding the legal side completely and going back to it's
underground roots. Admittedly I was a little dubious about it,
but as fellow dodgy geezer, Rude
of UNR fame is probably writing
for the columns side of the show, I might just be tempted into
it... "Long live the podium bunnies!"
Or sommit like that. *cough* J
Either way, go check it out, they've got another stream going
this Sunday and if you're into your dance, housey housey and
trancey stuff it's better than Dave
fucking Pearce. =)
Actually, while we're on the subject, sommit I`ve been meaning
to do...
TUNE! J
Anyway, as I'm sure you can tell, I'm shattered. End of a long
week at work and far too much to write about to get into it
tonight. Apologies for the lameness, but will get it under
control come Sunday after the Savage
matches are played....
