General Questions:

Q How and when did you get your start in Quake?
A I bought Quake when it first came out. Eight years ago, I had been playing Doom with my best friend Vixen long distance.

Q How and when did you form KL?
A When I first started playing Quake, there were only a few servers. When people started forming clans, someone asked me what clan I belonged to. I just came out with "Kitten's Litter". Then went and told my best friend, Vixen, we have a CLAN! That was almost 8 years ago! I have had the KL going, sometimes strong and winning, sometimes few and only for fun, continuously ever since. Most of the present members have been either with me from the start, or at least 4+ years, some 6+. My Clan is a true "Family" Clan. That was Sept or Oct 1996.

Q How do you juggle your leadership duties of KL and your "real life"?
A I can watch TV, talk on the phone, and play Quake at the same time. LOL It's EASY, and it's my "sport". Like I love tennis, I can't get enough of what I love.

Q Do you feel that interest in Quake 3 is dying out?
A No, but Quake 3 is getting stale. Everyone who has always loved Quake still does, but so many people have played it for hours, day in and day out for years. If Quake came out with some new maps, maybe tossed in some of the old weapons like nail gun, made it newer. They would all come back. It needs some of the Leagues and Ladders to be revived and that needs some newness to the game. But the Love of Quake is always inside. It just needs to be refreshed.

Q What leagues/ladders does KL compete in?
A Tournaments, Ladders and Leagues we have been in almost 8 years. I have forgotten many but here's some from Quake, QuakeWorld, Quake 2 and now Quake 3.
Battle Command, Bannockburn-BCTFL 6 of the 8 seasons (HPB and LPB teams), Clan BeanieBabies(Beanie Bash!), FlagShip Arena, QOTH I & II (QuakeWorldQueenof The Hill Tournament), GoC: Gathering Of Champions, OGL Ladder: Q2 Modem and Open, OGL Q2 League, OGL CTF Q3 Ladder, BiCTF, Shrubfest '98, Stinkbutt's CTF Challenge, Termination Central, HPCL-High Ping Capture league, QWHPCL, Armageddon, Civilwar, Crayola Q2CTF Tournament, HPB Madness, Leagueof Capture - Home of CTF (KoC), LSD Tournament, Q2CTFi.(Q2CTFinvitational), Ragnarok--LM Tournament, ShredFest, The Ascension, Who's Who Tour, Head ON Collision 98, FaTe's Minions-EIT-The Real Deal, NetherRealm CTF League Season 1 through Season 8 (won the NR7 and won our Division in Season 8), Proving Grounds Q3 CTF from startup, Stronger Than All Q3 CTF, Teamplay Ladder, ClanRing's/Invitational League/Tournment for CTF QW, Winterhaste tourneys 01 and 02, TWL ladder, and CTFx. I have probably forgotten some..muhahaha

More Questions:

Q How do you feel about the community's leinency toward "skippy" players?
A There's 2 reasons for skippy players:

Connections are not good. We have one in the KL now who skips. He's in Canada and his connect is just like that, so he plays and everyone needs to understand. It's like everyone has the right to play as best they can.
Someone's settings are set where they "skip" and those players, will BURN in HELL! *Kitten coughs up a hairball on these players*

Q You are sometimes referred to as "hardcore" or even a "bitch". How would you respond to this?
A First off, that's not quite right, it's "The Bitch" please. I have earned my "names" over almost 8 years of leading the KL. I refuse to tolerate rudeness or vulgarity, and feel just because someone is playing an online game they still should behave as they would if they were in the same room with us. Where I could take out their adams apple if they weren't nice. I'm also a sticker for following rules. Hell, they were written and put on the site. Follow them, maybe the fact I'm a lawyer makes me like that. I also always have logs and screenshots and such so I'm ready to dispute and refuse to be intimdated or pushed around. I don't understand the attitude many have. "He thought about being on their roster, hell let him play in the match." Grrrrrrrr

Q If there was any one thing you could change about the way you play. What would it be?
A I had carpel tunnel in both wrists and at times it's BAD. I'd love to be able to move and turn my mouse like many players can, who help my speed, strafe-jumping, etc etc, blah blah..

Q . Is there anything unusual about your configuration or setup?
A Nope. Except I don't use negative time nudges. Muhahaha! (Seems that's unusual now adays, everyone seems to be nudging.)

Q How do you feel about the general attitude toward females in the Quake community?
A Many years ago there were many different "attitudes" about women in gaming, but there are so many less ladies around. And women have been in Quake so long that I don't think there's too much left but the question "Okay, Can she shoot?". There will always be asses and gentlemen. God bless the Gentlemen! To Hell with the Asses! I have 30 active members in the KL right now. Some more active then others, and 2 different teams that play in each Ladder and League. We have 4 ladies that play and so you can be SURE of at least 26 "Gentlemen" out there with Great attitudes about Lady Gamers. purrrrrr
