Kornelia, the World Female Quake Champion, made a special appearance at
the Hercules/Guillemot booth at ECTS. The Hercules area showcased our
new 3D Prophet II cards, including the 3D Prophet II MX Dual-Display
Video and the 3D Prophet II Ultra. Kornelia was on hand on the Monday
and Tuesday taking on all comers in a Death Match co-hosted by Gamespy,
Gameloft and the mighty Hercules. Playing on machines kitted out with
64MB Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS cards, contestants had the chance to win
one of the cards by attempting to beat Kornelia. This proved to be
tougher than it sounds. Over the 2 days that the competition ran, less
than 10 people managed to get a frag against Kornelia. Both of the
challengers that won the Hercules graphics cards only managed one frag
against the champion. In total over 100 games were played with Kornelia
winning all but one!
To
add to the excitement, World mens champion Sujoy came on the stand to
take up the challenge. After a hard fought battle Sujoy emerged
victorious, winning by 7 frags to 2.
