Gargoyle

Old Quake saying: "I'm sick of killing myself..."

Nick Name: Rapunzel or Gargoyle...depending what mood I'm in :)
Previous Nicks: Dragon, Charon
Location: Victoria, Australia

Current Games Focused: Single-player FPS (Medal of Honour - Jedi Knight II etc.), DM/Team (Q3A - UT), Racing sims (GP4 - Nascar 4).
Favorite Games of all time: heh - that's hard! DOOM and Quake will always be sentimental favourites for fairly obvious reasons. Alice blew me away with it's graphics, and Serious Sam was just Damned Good Fun (and took me back to the days of DOOM), but I'd have to say Half Life as favourite single-player game, seeing as it's the only game I've ever played five times all the way through (and would still play again even now).

Current Clan Status: None. Although if we ever get a broadband connection, watch out for a "two-man" husband and wife team. ;)
Former Clans: Apocolypse Riders...was a bunch of 14-15 yr old guys who were quite impressed by a girl playing Quake! :)

Chat Hangouts: Lurked and made the occasional post back when QWF first started. Never got to be much a part of the community though, coz there weren't many ozzies around to meet offline.

Quake Memories: When we first got Quake we had a VIA 533 with 4MB RAM. We got an incredible 13fps - and not only played the single-player game, but played online with it! (And this was even before the days of Quakeworld!!) Shub's Pit was a classic, with cries of "STOP SHOOTING!!!" coz the lag was so bad...finally when we'd get the message through to everyone that it was a "cease fire" level, we'd meet in that little room where you first enter (which became known as "the moshpit" - I'll leave it up to your imagination...we had to amuse ourselves somehow!!) while one of us would end the pain (how many people knew how to exit that level?!) Ahhh - those were the days... ;)

Modification Admiration: Never really got into mods... although the Quake Rally mod was heaps of fun.
