Gemstone

Nick Name: Gemstone
Previous Nick: PMS-Gemstone, and just Gemmy
Location: Vancouver, BC Canada
Birthday: October 8th

Current Games Focused:  I still play Quake 1, 2, and 3, but not to the degree I once did. Maybe it's me, but the people on the servers don't seem to have honour or sportsmanship. I easily tire of the immaturity of today's gamers. Quake 3 didn't "wow" me like I thought it would and the weapons were imbalanced. I will check out Doom though.
Favorite Games of all time:  Quake 2 (love those maps!) I feel very strongly about the female presence in games and Quake II really gave female gamers an opportunity to get a foothold in the community.

Current Clan Status: Are there still clans? I guess I'm retired from Clanning.
Former Clans:
PMS Clan and one half of a team of two - PRIME
Chat Hangouts: Email only nowadays. IRC owned me for a long time, but now when I pop in once in a while, I notice that chatters don't actually chat - they are just there in spirit only I guess.

Website:

Quake Memories: I share many sentiments with PMS-Medusa especially about the "unity, understanding and unbridled chaos". How true! I also felt that Quake (and online gaming) introduced me to a unique learning experience at a time that was very magical.

I have so many memories (good and bad) but I know that we could not possibly replicate that era again and I am grateful that I was there and experienced the laughs and the tears with so many wonderful people - especially those ladies at PMS (and those crazy towel boys!) wh000t!!

Modification Admiration: I loved everything about Quake I and for Quake II, my heart belonged to RA and CTF. "Base is safe!"

Tournament Attendance:  When I was in PMS, we entered just about every tourney/ladder out there. Did we win a lot? No -but damnit we played against just about every other Clan out there. We had heart!
