I think
my favorite memory was flying from Minnesota (where I live) to
southern California to play Quake 2 Expert CTF at a LAN with
the other people in the Colesium League. It was a complete
riot!! I was one of the only two female players at the LAN of
about 50-60 people. I died a lot, killed a few, and had a
complete blast!! Made many friends that I keep in touch with
yet today. I went back to the same LAN 3 years in a row - and
it had grown larger each year. For the last 2 years I was the
only female gamer. It was still a good time - although we had
no air conditioning, and blew the power 2 years in a row. :) I
also attended a smaller Expert CTF LAN out in New Jersey to
meet the east coast side of the league. Amazing how wonderful
the gamers are, and how much fun it is to meet them in person.
