Quake3 Freeze

CF = Chatfrags Quake Memories: I had always had a secret desire to be in a clan but feeling a little nervous about my skills never actually followed it through. I only ever played for fun and never serious. I was a quake2 rocket arena junkie and spent hours on the servers and used to play with a pretty neat bunch of guys and one day they asked me to join their clan! Well I jumped at the chance and feeling full of my own self importance and sheer coolness I immediately put the clan tag on. About 10 minutes later they said pix, come to server [insert random server addy here] we have a game. Well off I ran to the server, huge smile on my face but little did I realize it was a proper clan game - not a practice and it was CTF, a mod I had no experience with :( I didn't want to play it!!! but I didn't want to let onto them that I had never done this before and for them to think I wanted their tag just to be cool as I had often joked with them about it. I offered to sit out and watch the first game as I was a n00b as compared to them but they wanted me to play to feel part of the team and it was in fact my initiation! Well to make a long story short, I played that damn game and for the first 5 minutes was crying my eyes out cause I was so scared and trying so hard :( Eventually I relaxed and whilst it wasn't the best game I have ever had, I did it!!! To this day, not one of those guys ever knew how upset and scared I was and even though I am still in touch with most of those guys, will never admit to them what actually happened and what a horrible first experience it was. :D On a side
note, I have played many clan games since and have loved them
