Quake Memories: When you asked me for a story, I thought of nothing that would be of interest to people. I do really miss playing - I don't have 'any' games on my computers anymore. Work, work, work (at a local ISP) is all I really do thesedays. I hardly ever see anyone that I used to chat to on a daily basis back when Teamfortress was my life.... and now you've made me miss em heaps (damn you!). *smile* I just know I'm going to lose a few days chasing up old TF players just to see where "THEY" are now! ;)

The source being released was when I stopped playing. It's a shame in a way, but in another way - I have half a life now; before my life was in games and game chatrooms. Not that it was such a bad thing, I just had no money and no future, and when I was in games, I didn't care about that, or family or "real life" friends, etc. Nothing else mattered. Now I concentrate on family, earning a bit of money so that I can retire young (*i hope*), then spend the rest of my life playing games or traveling the world, or running my own businesses. I'd love to own a LANcentre, or an internet cafe or computer training centre or something.

Back then I had a Pentium 120 computer and that's all I could afford (while others had their PII's already). When Teamfortress was ruined, my PC wasn't good enough to get the newer games. By the time I got the new computer, I was too involved in earning a living to play the games. That's the way it goes I guess :)

Modification Admiration: Q1 Teamfortress. I started the TF Anti-Cheat Project a few months before the source was released. I really wanted it to be something. I just hated people cheating, it really used to grind on me. I am still looking for anyone out there who may like to take over the site and keep it updated. I just can't find anyone that still plays it, that wants to spend the time needed to do it. People still visit it and I get a lot of emails asking me to update it but I just am not into it anymore. Maybe someone reading this will be that person... http://www.planetfortress.com/anticheat

Tournament Attendance: No not official ones. :) Had a few LAN games (GibSlaughter days) with friends and went to a TF weekend in Sydney, Australia a few years ago.
